In these times of big proportions all of us are witnessing as protagonists or spectators what is a slow shift in the universal consciousness. As the earth with her seas and skies is awakening and rebelling with always more frequent turmoils,so her inhabitants are coming out from their secular numbness. Disappointed and tired,men are rising to the sound of a new music: the NEW AGE. In the last decades of history we performed the biggest changes: we started wars,we discriminated minorities and then we redeemed them, we went to the moon and we invented infallible systems of comunication: nowadays we can send messages to every corner of the world and through computers even chat simultaneously in a group from the five continents. Still,in the midst of innovation,men did NOT find themselves happier than before and they started becoming aware of their mistake of direction. After centuries of hunger of success aimed at an outer world, a new reality is manifesting in the global unconsciousness. The focal point of attention is slowly moving toward an inner truth,more internal and therefore spiritual. Neverending struggles did not quench that perpetual feeling of unsatisfaction. Therefore more and more people now are silently coming back home to themselves and rediscovering their ESSENCE. In an hectic society that grinds everything and everyone, new values are transpiring and real richness is becoming the time to be spent with ourselves. We are finally understanding that happiness is not the destination at the end of our journey but it is in the journey itself.In the journey WITHIN. New habits and disciplines like yoga,meditation,reiki,tai-chi etc. took root and they all have in common the same purpose: in the continous flow of life,they pause and block us in "strange" positions to remind us of what we forgot: we exist in the STILL also. Because we are somebody before doing anything. Our essence precedes every other activity.We don't get defined by our actions but we rather express ourselves through our actions. As we can only act responsibly after being responsible, so we can only "do happy" after being happy. It is our inner realm that shows in the outside world and modifies it and never the contrary. We are human beings and not human doings! And while this awareness is slowing disclosing,life is starting to manifest in a different way and what once seemed to be our means of escape are now starting to appear in their real nature: ILLUSIONS. The banknote that was once the answer to our problems, today is only a piece of paper with print. Without disliking it,we accept it with detachment . We search for the answer somewhere else remembering that "the secret of life is not to have what we want but to want what we have".

If we as humanity could slow down this pace of life that consumes us from day to day we would become enlightened beyond belief.
